Meet the Makers

Rooted in Nebraska. Crafted by hand. Made with heart.

At Handmade in the Sandhills, we believe every handmade item carries a story, and it all starts with the maker behind it.

Our community is filled with incredible artisans, woodworkers, stitchers, crafters, and creatives who call the Nebraska Sandhills home (or are inspired by it). Each maker brings their own unique skill, heart, and heritage to their craft, many using locally sourced or salvaged materials, time-honored techniques, and a whole lot of patience.

This page is your invitation to get to know them. Learn what inspires their work, how they got started, and the love that goes into every piece. Whether it’s a hand-turned cedar bowl, a beaded suncatcher catching sunlight on your windowsill, or a cross-stitched treasure that reminds you of home, you’ll find the stories behind the goods right here.

Because when you shop handmade, you’re not just supporting a small business—you’re becoming part of a story.
